DOES ALL SUBARU WRX STI GOES ON FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. HOW ABOUT THOSE MANUFACTURED IN 1998?

Yes, all WRX STI Imprezas have been All-Wheel Drive(AWD). Subarus made prior to a “new generation” Impreza (about a year 2000) might have been sole with Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). In fact, a AWD convention which Subaru has currently branched from their importance upon FWD behind in a 60’s to 70’s.

awd means it can run all wheels together, however in normal driving conditions the computer will shift the power to where it needs it. normally you are only powering one wheel until the computer detects wheel slip, then it will transfer power to other wheels. 4wd means the wheels go together until you shut it down.

Yeah almost all subarus are AWD, only a few exceptions. All WRX models are for sure, they are rally cars. I know that my Subaru Legacy has a place where you put a fuse in and that makes it FWD, i assume other models have this feature.
