HOW MUCH IS A USED ‘04-’05 SUBARU WRX STI?

you can get a used wrx sti for abt 22k with abt 50k miles on it but its really gonna be hard to make a wrx fast as the sti ….u would have to do a **** loads of upgrades on it like maybe a super charger …and some more ups…but i would just buy the sti if i had to its not that much and u dont want to go through the trouble of upgrading the wrx
also the wrx has turbo engine of 225 horsepower vs 300 (STI).

john 16 thousand quid is 32k here !! ouch.,if the OP is in the UK john has your answer, if your in the states expect to pay 22-26 for a used 05 depending on millage and condition ive seen a few good 04’s in the 19k range but there is a difference in the models themselves for those years.
a proper stage 2 on a wrx,will bring you right to up near stock sti WHP,with brake and suspension upgrades you can get similar sti attributes,and save 5-6+ thousand bux.
the benefits of the sti will come if your really power hungry as you can feed the stock 6 speed more power,so it has the potential for more power modding,the stock sti brembo’s will do the job on the street just fine,some people mention the DCCD as a important difference between the 2 models but unless you plan on alot of track duty it gets almost zero use.
there are alot of factors with a car other than if it goes “fast” that you should consider and alot of it will come down to your budget,insurance,car payment etc. obviously by asking about the cheapest the sti is probably not your best choice.
the wrx will save you thousands in the long run and the big picture it can get similar performance with little hassle.
either way they are both fun as hell.

well it depends on the mileage and where you live. like around where i live i find WRX STI’s for about 24-30k and most in good condition to no modifications on them and some mileage range from 30k-90k. just depends on where you live how many miles are on it and if any modifications have been done to it.

Check out the classifieds in IWSTI.com to see what they are going for. And it is easy to get STI power out of a WRX but you get so much more with the STI. Better heads, slightly bigger turbo, better suspension, bullet proof 6 speed transmission, HID lights and probably more but that’s all I can thin of for now. If you can afford it and the insurance, it;s worth buying an STI over a WRX.

dont know where all these people live mate but you can pick up a used scooby sti 04-05 for less than£16000, depends where you get your motor

There are STi’s for sale around me for around 14k.
